Dragon turned 'fundus' into 'fund us'

At 2:17 a.m., Dragon Medical One happily typed ‘fund us firm’ instead of ‘fundus firm’ and suddenly the note read like a seed-round pitch. Who else has seen this exact word-mash in OB/GYN dictations, and did it ripple into the rest of the report or just give you a much-needed laugh?

Had this last week — Dragon gave me “fund us tense.” > ripple into the rest of the report or just give you a much-needed It bled into the A/P until I set a QA regex to auto-highlight “fund us|fund us firm” in OB notes; tiny caveat: it pings legit finance phrases, but it’s saved me more than once — do you run any pre-signoff search traps?

I fixed this by adding a custom vocab entry in Dragon: written “fundus,” spoken “fund-us,” then running “Train word” once so it stops splitting it. It sticks best in my OB templates, though noisy rooms still cause the odd slip. Did yours pop up more during postpartum checks or the bimanual, @OP?
