Shaved 5 minutes by cutting through the hotel - any faster route

At 8:12 this morning I skipped the jammed 3rd & Pine light by ducking through the Marriott lobby, out the service exit, and hopping into the protected lane mid‑block - Strava shows 5:04 faster than yesterday. Anyone got a cleaner (legal) way to bypass that intersection without sitting through three light cycles?

Ugh, 3rd & Pine is a slog — nice 5:04 shave though. Try cutting over a block sooner and take the alley between 3rd and 2nd just off Pine, then hop into the 2nd Ave protected lane at Pine — totally legal and it skips those three cycles. Have you tried it around 8:12; the timing’s usually decent then?

At 3rd & Pine, swing to Pike, take the signed alley to 2nd Ave protected lane — stays legal.

Skip the lobby and keep it legal: before the backup, pull onto the Pine sidewalk, take the next walk to do a two-crosswalk shuffle to the protected lane entrance, then remount and roll. Beats waiting three cycles, and I’ve matched your 5:04 around 8:12 doing that.
