Has anyone found continuing ed that truly sharpens compassionate caregiver-facing phrasing while keeping pediatric consult notes thorough? I handle about 45 notes a day in Epic with Dragon Medical One and I’m looking for CEUs that dig into accurate caregiver quotes, developmental terminology, and consent/guardian documentation; and anything sounding urgent belongs with a licensed professional or emergency services.
I got the most mileage from AHDI’s on-demand webinars on patient-centered documentation, then built a SmartPhrase in Epic that drops ‘Caregiver quote:’ plus a consent/guardian line — like giving Dragon a cheat sheet; here’s the AHDI hub: https://www.ahdionline.org/page/Education. If you want the legal/consent depth, AHIMA’s CDI modules are solid even if not peds-specific — are you mainly chasing developmental terminology or the guardian documentation piece?
