In these ilium/ileum mix-ups, do you drop a sic, add a timestamp with a QA note, or leave a blank and query?
I default to a blank with a QA comment when a sound‑alike flips anatomy, and I include the exact snippet and timestamp — “02:37: ‘fracture of the right ileum’” — so QA or the dictator can resolve it; I only use [sic] if the client’s style guide explicitly allows it. Do you see “pelvis” or “acetabulum” mentioned anywhere else that could tip it?
